Co- Investigator – “An Open-labelled Black Box Clinical Study to Investigate the Efficacy of Add-on Personalised Ayurveda Intervention in Comparison to Standalone Treatment based on ICMR Guidelines in Patients with COVID-19” at the Government Stanley Medical College & Hospital, Chennai, Tamilnadu.
2.Co- Investigator – “An Open Label Study in Efficacy of Add-on Ayurveda Intervention in Comparison with Standard in Covid-19 Patients with Moderate Severity and with Type 2 Diabetes Followed by 60 Day Follow-up” at the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu.
3. Central Pharmacist – “A Double blind double dummy prospective randomized study to evaluate the efficacy of classical Ayurveda management versus Methotrexate in Rheumatoid Arthritis (AMRA Study)” – Multicentre Clinical trial in collaboration with The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) under the Ministry of AYUSH.

Dr. Arun T Namboothiri follows the footsteps of his grandfather and his father in the traditional practice of Ayurveda. Prior to his formal years of education, that is, graduation and post graduation specializing in Ayurveda, Dr. Arun T Namboothiri has had the phenomenal opportunity of obtaining primary education of Ayurvedic studies from his grandfather Brahmasri Parameswaran Namboothiri and his father Sri Narayanan Namboothiri.
Dr. Arun has been an active clinician for past 10 years and specialised in Panchakarma (Detoxification) treatment for various Diseases His area of expertise includes Metabolic Disorders, Diabetes, Obesity, and Complications of Diabetes Such as Diabetic Neuropathy, Diabetic Foot Ulcer, Rheumatologic Diseases, Cosmetic Disorders, Hair and Scalp Diseases, Infertility & Preconception counselling. Following the whole system approach in Ayurveda, his clinical consultation includes diet and lifestyle suggestions, Ayurveda medication, Yoga and cognitive counselling. He is teaching National and International Students from 2012 and has won best paper presentation award in National seminar on “Emergency Management an Ayurvedic Approach”.
Currently he is editor of PubMed Indexed journal “Ancient Science of Life”, Member Secretary of Institutional Ethics Committee and Life time member of Forum for Ethical Review Committees in the Asian and Western Pacific Region.
