Dr Uma V is inclined into the practice of authentic Ayurveda and belongs to a family of traditional Ayurvedic Vaidyas. Having obtained her Masters degree in Panchakarma, her clinical expertise are Gynaecological diseases, Infertility, Bone and joint diseases, Skin diseases, Metabolic disorders, Gastro- intestinal disorders, Ano-rectal diseases, Hair and scalp diseases among others.
She is a passionate Ayurveda physician with experience in Ayurveda medical practice, clinical research and teaching. Adept in properly diagnosing and strategizing for the best treatment plans for patients, bringing forth an empathetic and professional attitude, committed to providing patients with the best care possible.
She also holds a Diploma in “Yoga for Clinical Excellence” from the Bharathiar University and is keen in Ayurveda Nutrition (Pathya and Apathya Ahara) and Lifestyle (Vihara) counselling to maintain and promote health and also to manage diseases.
She is also a lecturer and teaches Ayurveda to National and International students from countries like Japan, Turkey, Brazil, USA etc. She has presented papers in various National seminars and was a part of the organising committee in seminars like Ayu GOTRA (Seminar on Gynaecological disorders and infertility), Ayu SASTRA (Seminar on Anorectal disorders and Marma) for the promotion and spreading of Ayurveda.
